Henry County Community Foundation (HCCF) is investing $1 million in Affordable Housing Solutions in Henry County, Indiana. This is the HCCFs first impact investment, through a partnership with Affordable Housing Solutions of Henry County and Citizens State Bank. This impact investment is a “loan” that will be repaid, meaning HCCF will be able to reinvest the funds using this model for future projects to support the housing needs of the community. The Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF) describes social-impact investing, “Think of it as recycling philanthropy. Social impact investments can earn interest and may return the initial investment and later be reinvested into future endeavors.”
