New Housing Counseling Services Map
About: This map presents information about locations of U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) HUD-certified Housing Counseling Agencies (HCAs) in Indiana that provide HUD housing counseling services. According to HUD, “HCAs and [certified housing counselors] provide information, advice, and tools for consumers seeking, financing, maintaining, renting, or owning a home. Agencies [and counselors] also assist those facing homelessness and homeowners in need of foreclosure assistance.” Agencies included in this map offer similar and different components of HUD housing counseling services, education, and programming to households in their communities. The map was created to contribute additional information about HUD-certified HCAs in Indiana and the housing counseling services they provide. HUD’s Office of Housing Counseling map and HUD’s Office of Policy Development & Research (PD&R) datasets were referenced to obtain the most recent information about HUD-certified HCAs in Indiana.
